Read it Yourself Isaiah 59
Isaiah 59, it is beautiful, but you have to read it for yourself. from hope an despair, through conviction and onto a new covenant and promise. I cannot in a short blog put all that beauty and development that God has woven into the fabric of this chapter. These blogs are a poor substitute for reading God’s word for yourself. I challenge you to pull the bible out or pull the passage up
READ IT YOURSELF
It starts with the condemnation :
Isaiah 59:1–2 “1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
Travels through the failure of men, their sin. Then it bounces through the effect of that sin on their relationship with God. Pinging about on our failure to listen to His words and advice, only adding more misery and hurt. Traps that keep us trying to fix everything ourselves. Everything and every problem that we have created, we ignore his advice and try some other “fix”. We end up in a blind spiral down away from God. ”Therefore His own arm brought salvation to Him”, Alleluia praise God for his initiative. the end of the message is His covenant with them.
