2 John 1.12 Let’s talk

2 John 12 “12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.”

2 John now that’s not a book of the bible you see much. Odd that this verse struck me this morning. But it is so true. I would much rather sit and talk to you face to face about the scriptures and your relationship with the Lord than write. In place of that dialog at least you are willing to consider and listen to my open monologue with you about my wonderful savior i write to stir you to embrace God, to embrace him not a church, a religion, a tradition, a goal. Sitting down with each of you takes time and effort (just scheduling the time in our busy world is difficult) and I feel sometimes we become shy to talk about our struggles with God.
O lord please open the door of opportunity for us to each have heartfelt conversations, open conversations about our relationship with you. The joys, the sorrows, the worries, the mysteries.

Colossians 3:16 “16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
