For His pleasure – Revelation 4.11

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Sometimes we forget who we are praying to. His Power and majesty. He created us, he created all that is around us and He created it for His purpose and pleasure. Are we pleasing to the Lord? Is what we are doing, thinking, pleasing to the Lord? It is for His pleasure we are created. He could and will someday in the future destroy all this due to sin and rebellion. But till then, he seeks to help us to discover the joy and peace that comes from doing that which pleases him. This is how we can show him glory, honour, and power.
