All the the Lord speaketh, that I must do – Numbers 23.26
Numbers 23:26 “26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?”
Balaam gets criticized for his interactions with Balaak, and he is judged for his actions, but notice that every time He goes and talks with Balaam, he only shares what the Lord tells him to speak. How often do we fail and then quit rather than continuing to trust God and to speak his truth and not our own?
When the scriptures speak to your heart, when the Spirit of God moves in your heart after all your rebellion and self-centeredness do you speak his word or go and hide, saying I am not worthy?
In Psalm 57, David calls out for God’s mercy, asking for deliverance. Yet think of what he had to go through, the threats of Saul, hiding in the desert, watching his friends being killed at the hands of his enemies. Where was God’s mercy then? No, David does not worry about the past and how God worked or what he had to endure. David looks to the future and knows that only the grace and mercy of God will allow him to move forward. Today lets simply follow God’s lead, not fret about our failures, or troubles but speak his truth
