Cleansing our ways – Psalm 119.9-11

Psalm 119:9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

How am I or anyone else able to meet the righteous requirements of God? I can’t even keep the ten commandments, so what hope is there? By ourselves, it is impossible to please God. But with God’s help, we can.

Hebrews 11.6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

So we put our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit of God begins to abide in us, and He then directs us to His word, we learn it, and begin to see that God will cleanse us of our evil ways. Dig into the bible, the scriptures, the Word of God, the Truth, and find Jesus helping you to be changed into his image.
