Fear of the Lord – Psalm 86.11

If we fear the Lord, then we will seek to do all that he commands us. If we fear our boss (respect), we understand that it is his business and he only has the right to choose what is best for His company, then we follow his commandments. We do as he says, respecting his authority, knowing it is his investment to do with as he pleases, and knowing that it is his right to fire us if we don’t follow his orders. The big difference is that we cannot see or hear God’s commands physically; He speaks softly, he speaks through His scriptures so we need to listen carefully. We need to follow through with what we perceive He has called us to do, knowing that if we don’t, there will be consequences. Aren’t you grateful today that He has not fired us, unlike an employee, we as his children are loved, and his mercy is endless and his grace constant. Don’t give up keep listening and endeavor to obey, purge your heart and mind of your ways and the world’s ways, and let him teach you. Just as we work hard to learn what our employers need us to know to make their business and our future successful

Ps 32:8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Ps 86:11  Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
