Giving Power to the all powerful – Revelation 4.11

Revelation 4.11 Thou art worthy o lord to receive glory and honour and power For thou hast created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created

Every so often, you read a passage of scripture and something jumps out at you. The Holy Spirit begins to teach and reveal something else about the God we love. Today, one word jumped out: Power. The context tells us that the Lord is worthy to receive power. Which means I should give him Power. But how can I, a created being, one shaped and directed by the power of God, give him who is all-powerful, power? Ah, the heart of a servant surrenders his strength and power to provide the service that the master needs. If we truly believe that God is worthy, than lets start using the strength that he provides to serve others. When we begin to use our energy, Mental, physical, and emotional, to fulfill his will, then we are giving him the glory and honor through the power (energy) we exert in service. It is a matter of focusing our energy on being of service to Him and not focusing on using that energy to serve ourselves. Today, may we give God all the glory, honour, and power, because all things that were created for his pleasure, including those who are his children.
