Pleasure for evermore – Psalm 16.11

It is Valentines and most of us are consumed with trying to communicate to our loved ones how special they are to us and how much we appreciate them. But what about God? Just like your loved ones, the thing that God desires most is time communicating. The blessings of spending time communicating with God have eternal promises. The psalmist knew this when he wrote:

Psalm 16.11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

It may seem silly, but I think it would communicate a lot if you or you and your loved one spent time listening to the word of God and sharing your heart with God. Not the details of your day, our maladies, but the problems and hang-ups you faced. It is there in his presence that you can find fullness of joy and lasting pleasure. Carve out time for God today
