Test your faith – Romans 15.5

Romans 15.5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

Want to expand your faith? You want to see what miracles God can do for you? Consider showing patience and showing forgiveness towards those who irritate you. If you are sincere, you will see God work in your heart in a way you never thought possible. All of us have people who irritate the daylights out of us. Whether it’s a behavioral tick, their incessant talking, the sound of their voice, or the number of times they have hurt us with words or deeds. The passage today, however, encourages us to try to see things from their perspective to develop and emphasize our similarities. Paul is closing his epistle to the Romans and needs to remind them of the necessity of patience and forgiveness (consolation) toward others, even as Jesus has towards us. Striving for peace and unity in our relationships is a true test of faith.
We will work on developing our skills for work, for health, for our hobbies but what about working on developing your faith.  Best way I know is by asking God to show you how you can show patience and consolation towards those you don’t care for.  Go Ahead, try it and watch God work.
