Who is directing your decisions? – Numbers 22.34

Who leads you in every decision you make?

In the book of Numbers, chapter 22, we read the story of a man of God, a prophet of God, named Balaam. With that title given to him in the scripture, we would think that this would be a man who lets God lead him. Yet the story unfolds to show that through social pressure and economic prosperity, this man knowingly went against the advice of God and endeavored to curse the nation of Israel. Not once, not twice, not even three times, but multiple times, he kept compromising. God even made his donkey talk to him to show him the errors of his way. Ask yourself what pressures in life am I following, what social and economic pressures am I allowing to lead me away from God? You may be able to call yourself a child of God because of your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but you will not sacrifice your social acceptance (what your friends think), economic pressure (got to pay the bills or purchase these items), to follow the will of God or obey his word. Is God standing in your way?

Numbers 22:34 And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
