(3-11-2022) The Greatest Gift
Matthew 13:44-46 (KJV)
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Quick thought. Your gift of salvation, that new birth, would you be willing to give up all that you have to obtain it? If I read this passage correctly and within its context I get the idea that when we find something really valuable. When we want something bad enough we are willing to make great sacrifices to obtain it.
A new house, a new car, a new ?????. What is it that you are willing to sacrifice for?
God has offered the greatest, longest lasting gift of all, Eternal life, an existence in a physically rejuvenated/resurrected body. A place to live where there is no pain, no sorrow, no suffering. He offers to all that will choose for free. He has paid for it all. The elimination of any spiritual indebtedness, the promise of a coach, guide, comforter, the Holy Spirit. All available to those that are willing to say yes to His plan of salvation.

Acts 16:31 (KJV) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Why not embrace this change today, why not sell out for Jesus.
If you have already experienced that transformation then why not sell some of the other interests that are keeping you from experiencing the fullness of His presence here and now, rather than wait for eternity?
